Participants

Recap

Before the main session events, the party encountered a troll outside the manor, entered, and found rats attacking a severed hand that was throwing plates and cutlery at them.

Major Events

  • Met the animated hand called Argon the Annihilator (also heard as Arghun in notes), who identified himself as general of the keep.
  • Showed Argon the manor key and deed awarded by Berline Haldoli.
  • Learned of two secret passages: one in the bedroom and one in the basement.
  • Explored the manor and found the study in disarray with tossed papers.
  • Argon claimed the damage was caused by children searching for Qhallaqh the Collector.
  • Found a secret passage in the bedroom.
  • Recovered a platinum vampire tooth, which went to Mobby.
  • Began exploring the basement/crypt.
  • Was attacked by additional rats and skeletons controlled by an insect.

NPCs and Factions Mentioned

  • Berline Haldoli - Blood Lord who rewarded the party with key and deed.
  • Qhallaqh the Collector - Former manor owner whose name appears tied to recent intrusions.
  • Argon the Annihilator (aka Arghun) - Animated hand, self-described general of the keep.
  • Smoke - Noted as the intended manor heir, laid to rest in the crypt.

Important Context

  • Session notes indicate the manor is supposed to pass to “Smoke,” who is buried in the crypt.
  • The crypt/basement appears to contain active hostile threats, including insect-controlled skeletons.

Unresolved Threads

  • Confirm Argon/Arghun’s exact canonical name and history.
  • Determine who “Smoke” is and the legal or magical relevance to manor ownership.
  • Investigate why children were searching for Qhallaqh the Collector.
  • Identify and neutralize the source of insect control over skeletons.
